How do I scan my fridge?

Open the app, tap the camera icon, take a photo of your fridge contents, and our AI will identify the ingredients for you.

How are my calories calculated?

Your calorie targets are based on your body metrics using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation, the gold standard for estimating daily energy expenditure.

Can I use FoodGem without a subscription?

Yes! You can start with a 3-day free trial. After that, some features are limited on the free tier, but you can continue using core functionality.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your device's app store. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions (iOS) or Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions (Android). Cancellation cannot be done through the app itself.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings in the app, scroll to the bottom, and tap Delete Account. Alternatively, email us at support@foodgem.app to request account deletion.

Is my data safe?

Yes. All data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and photos are deleted after analysis. We never sell your data.

What languages are supported?

FoodGem supports 18 languages including Arabic, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, and more.

Why are prices not showing for my area?

Price data depends on local store availability and partnerships. We're continuously expanding coverage—contact us to request your region.
